Grandi Riso Spa has a 10,000 square-meter processing and packaging plant situated in the middle of a 60,000 square meter rice field.

Two key processes - pearling and whitening - separate the rice grain from its outer layers.
This is done on machines that rigorously respect traditional production methods by processing the rice slowly so that none of the goodness of the grain is lost. After pearling and whitening the rice undergoes a smoothing process before being vacuum packed; this maintains its flavour and nutritional qualities for longer.
